We're here! Hard to believe but we are finally in Paris. It was a bit of a rough night though. Paris is nine hours ahead of Portland, so although we were able to get to bed at about 11pm Paris time (2pm PST), we woke up around 3am (6pm PST) and sat up for a while. We finally got back to sleep, but didn't wake for the day until 11am (2am PST)! We were both still kind of groggy but we got our butts out of bed.

Thankfully, the room had a coffee maker, that made coffee that wasn't half bad.

We were pretty hungry, so we hurriedly got ready to venture out.

It was not raining; actually, the sun came out a bit.

We walked down our street a few blocks until we found a Korean street food restaurant called "Hite Korean Street Food". By that time, it was about 2pm, and we had quite an appetite for some comfort food. The Bibimbap was so good. Okay, maybe it's a bit nontraditional to be eating Korean food on our first day in Paris, but oh boy did it hit the spot.

The rest of the day we spent resting and recovering in the room, updating this site, and watching game shows in French. Turns out it's a pretty great way to deepen our French vocabulary. I did a little research on the show we found, called "Des Chiffres Et Des Lettres" and it turns out that it's the number 2 longest running game show in the world, second only to the Price is Right! History and vocab all together now.
